Personalisation of Public Digital Terminals for all

03/05/2012Second APSIS4all Workshop

First trials and dissemination goals

The second Workshop will take place at Technosite in Madrid. The APSIS4all project aims at personalisation of Public Digital Terminals, further overcoming the existing accessibility barriers faced by people unfamiliar with ICT, people with disabilities and older people. Whereas the first workshop was devoted to putting in place the overall work strategy and transferring the user requirements to the development teams, this second workshop will be focused on determining the protocols for the trials as well as validating the overall dissemination strategy. The main standardization processes boosted by APSIS4all will be presented, as well as the current state of the project, the suggestions made by independent experts in the remote review and the status of the developments at both pilot sites.

The focus will be on the dissemination activities during this workshop as a need for better communication need was identified during the first few months of the project. A new strategy, channels and coordination means will be discussed at the meeting. Moreover, this meeting will help partners prepare the topics to be discussed further by both the Industrial and User Advisory Boards. The ePractice community has been identified as a useful and convenient channel that can support many of the current needs envisaged by the Project.
