05/24/2013Hoeft & Wessel presents the APSIS4all solution at the 60th UITP World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition in Geneva

This conference take place between 26th - 30th May 2013

The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) organises this Congress that will have a dedicated space for technology; according to the UIPTP website:

"Conventional public transport leaves gaps in the total mobility chain of people’s everyday journeys. People need to be offered a wide range of comfortable and easily available options that fit with their own lifestyle values and facilitated by emerging technologies. This requires a comprehensive review of the current service portfolio and the creation of a ‘onestop-shop’ for information and payment. Technology such as Near Field Communication (NFC) enables mobile phones to act like smartcards, meaning they can be used to open ticket barriers even if the battery is dead. The generalised use of web-based applications to make using public transport easier drives the i-MOVE 2.0 concept."

The Hoeft & Wessel Group will show the interaction with APSIS4all cards at the event. It is the leading IT and engineering technology Group for ticketing, parking and mobile solutions in Germany and Great Britain. Established in 1978 by the two entrepreneurs who gave the company its name and listed on the stock market since 1998, the enterprise has developed into a group of companies with sales revenues of approx. EUR 80 million and a workforce of more than 400 employees. Its main locations are Hannover (Germany), and Swindon (UK).

The company can be found in Hall 2, Booth D 475.
