06/20/2013The Irish Commission for Communications Regulation Proposed Measures to Ensure Equivalence in Access and Choice for Disabled End-Users.

The Irish Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) published a consultation paper about “Electronic Communications:-Proposed Measures to Ensure Equivalence in Access and Choice for Disabled End-Users”, ComReg Document 13/58.

ComReg proposes that Undertakings make the following services accessible to disabled and older people:

  • Accessible complaints procedures
  • Accessible top-up facility for pre-paid mobile telephone end-users
  • Accessible Directory Enquiries
  • Accessible billing
  • Accessible facility to test compatibility of terminal equipment
